A tribute band that decides to release their own music… It’s possible. Why not? The Analogues Sideshow have quite a few experienced and distinguished songwriters in their ranks.
We're not going to compare, of course, but the meticulous reproduction of The Beatles studio albums apparently was quite inspiring and has yielded sounds and songs that are reminiscent of that era.
The Analogues
The collection of songs with contributions from all members will soon be released as an album by ‘The Analogues Sideshow ‘- it’s diverse, bursting with fun and exudes creative freedom, with the late sixties and early seventies of course as a source of inspiration. And despite all that it’s still sounding very contemporary to say the least.
‘Goodfoot' is the first taste of the long awaited album. A swampy, grooving heartfelt advice from Felix Maginn and Diederik Nomden. Cancel all appointments with your therapist. Playing 'Goodfoot' once a day is all you’ll need to keep you mentally refreshed and feeling great. The band are accompanied by their brass section in a way that seems to wink (we dare not say it) to Paul McCartney's nostalgic preference for ragtime and vaudeville. Add a bit of Chaz and Dave and you’re there.
